Job Description




As a Security Officer - Full Time in Appleton, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with site teams and visitors, report concerns, and support daily operations with outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, office areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify concerns.
  • Control access at entrances and/or gates by verifying identification and authorization for visitors, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
  • Monitor and operate security-related systems such as access control points, intrusion alarms, and video monitoring equipment as assigned by post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and notifying site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Complete patrol and incident documentation, including logs, written reports, and/or electronic reports that describe observations and actions taken.
  • Provide directions and general assistance, answering questions and helping to resolve routine concerns while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Perform checks of doors, docks, and other controlled areas for signs of tampering and/or unsecured conditions, reporting findings per site procedures.
  • Support shipping and receiving activity by observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow, reporting irregularities, and following assigned post orders.
  • Communicate clearly with Allied Universal supervision and site personnel, escalating issues through the proper channels and maintaining confidentiality as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
