As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
• Control access to the location by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing individuals to the appropriate department or service area.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building perimeters, parking areas, and other designated zones, as required by post orders.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems, and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns through the appropriate channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, notification of onsite contacts, and requesting public emergency services when appropriate.
• Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports in a timely manner, including documentation of policy violations, disturbances, and property-related concerns.
• Assist with crowd management and orderly access during peak hours, public-facing service times, and special events at a government location.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with Allied Universal management, site representatives, and public emergency services to support incident response and continuity of operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
