Job Description




As a Security Officer - Healthcare Building Patrol in Elkton, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service to staff, patients, and visitors. Your visible presence and strong communication skills will contribute to a welcoming environment. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling using a vehicle as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Help to deter unauthorized activity by conducting regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of security-related activities, observations, and incidents as required by site protocols.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal management and healthcare staff to address security-related concerns and support the overall environment of care.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain an orderly environment.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related issues and promptly report concerns according to established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
