Security Officer - Refinery Gate

As a Security Officer - Refinery Gate in Parma, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and support badge and key control. You will stay visible, conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, and communicate clearly with site teams to help reduce security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at an access control post by following site-specific procedures for check-in, credential verification, and directing traffic to appropriate areas.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a chemical and/or petrochemical location by operating gates, doors, and visitor management systems, and maintaining accurate logs and records.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including escalating concerns per post orders and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Perform security-related screening of vehicles, packages, and deliveries as required by site policy, and coordinate with onsite contacts regarding restricted items and/or controlled areas.
• Support security-related compliance by documenting unusual activity, completing required reports, and communicating observations to Allied Universal supervision and onsite stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
