Join Allied Universal at a healthcare location as an armed patrol officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a highly visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and concerns with calm professionalism. Position Type: Part Time, with ability to pick up additional shifts.

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, donors, and visitors by carrying out armed post orders, security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points, controlled areas, and security-related systems such as CCTV and alarms; verify credentials and/or visitor authorization in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation of disturbances and coordinating response with site leadership and/or local law enforcement when needed.
  • Carry and maintain assigned weapon and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal training, licensing requirements, and post orders; complete required documentation such as activity logs and incident reports.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Have 6 months or more of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be 21 years of age or older.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
