Overview
Nakupuna Companies is seeking a talented Warehouse Supply Technician to support the Command Property Office (CPO) Warehouse Optimization Team. This motivated, self-starter will be responsible for executing electronic transactions in NERP and any other Accountable Systems of Record (APSR) needed to support Warehouse Operations in Richmond VA.

Perform receipt, stow, issue, & ship, along with other basic warehouse functions
- Perform physical inventories in accordance with client policy
- Perform material coordination efforts to organize and position assets in accordance with client policy and operational requirements
- Identify process improvement opportunities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment (training to be provided)
- Communicate directly with senior CPO personnel and Warehouse Operations Manager to determine requirements, execute inventory counts/causative research/reports, and identify opportunities to streamline client business processes. Identify improvements by researching and analyzing client needs, preferences, objectives, and working methods
- Ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and completion of all tasks assigned under this project
- Execute workload requirement planning with Warehouse Operations Manager to ensure available manpower matches planned workloads
- Communicate with Project Managers of complimentary projects at Nakupuna/Na Ali'i to ensure alignment and synchronization
- Keeps Nakupuna/Na Ali`i leadership abreast of project execution, and any issues of potential impact to achievement of client requirements/deliverables, or requirements exceeding defined scope of work
- Keep Nakupuna/Na Ali`i team abreast of any issues of potential impact to achievement of client mission
- Maintains exceptional customer relations. Provide status briefings/metrics regarding project progress, ensuring timely submission of completed reports at client specified frequency
- Performs personnel management functions (e.g., performance management and assessment, mentoring, counseling, recruitment, hiring and firing, time and attendance, leave approval, etc.). Works to motivate the project team, inspiring delivery of outstanding client outcomes and achievement of company quality standards
- Ensures alignment of project execution activities with established company organizational, accounting and finance, human resource management and contracting processes and procedures
- Management of centrally warehoused materials including interim supply support, special tooling/special tooling equipment, kitting, COMSEC and FMS reserve inventories
- Responsible for monitoring the material acquired and reported through the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Navy ERP to accurately reflect proper tracking and reporting of location, identity, condition, and value
- Identifies ILS requirements concerning money, manpower, material, facilities, and services. Based on findings, recommend ways to adjust operations to ensure that needed logistics elements are provided at the right time and place
- Consult with government specialists in various functional mission areas to determine requirements, capabilities, lead time, and costs affecting logistics planning
- Prepare procedures for developing, procuring, producing, storing, distributing, maintaining, using, and disposing of supplies, facilities, and equipment
- Identifies data requirements and establishes plans to meet each requirement on time
- Manage a complex Supply Chain capable of determining status of stored or in shipment material
- Identifies condition code material status value of material and required packaging/markings
- Determines shipping methods to meet Fleet requirements. Communicates with external Commands to develop various courses of action to achieve best supportability path(s)
- Develops Material management reports, Inventory plans/objectives, and applies logistics knowledge to overcome supply chain obstacles
- Modify standard logistics management practices and procedures to solve a variety of problems related to the organization's requirements for resources, funds, manpower, facilities, equipment, supplies, and supporting services
- Develops new or modified procedures. Changed mission priorities, funding constraints, political considerations, and equipment life cycles requires visualizing results of new or revised methods, procedures, organizational structures, and ILS processes
- Establishes cooperative relationships, presents sometimes controversial or critical observations, and makes substantive recommendations. Convinces others to agree to proposals they may not fully accept
Qualifications
Skills/Qualifications: A self-starter who is experienced in integrated product/logistics support and wants to make an extraordinary impact on warfighter sustainment. Candidate must be highly motivated, adaptable, and have exceptional written and oral communication skills. Candidate must have strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Must be in good physical condition and can occasionally travel
- Must have valid state-issued vehicle operator's license
- MHE license desirable - MHE operator must possess a current Medical Examiner's Certificate or proof of a current medical examination document on their license
Education and Experience: The following are required and desired levels of experience:
- Required: 6 years of experience in leading warehouse & logistics operations.
- Required: Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Desired: Experience supporting (directly or indirectly) NAVAIR
- Desired: Strong data analytics capabilities
- Desired: DAWIA Functional Level certification in Logistics Life-Cycle Management
- Desired: Experience utilizing Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP)
- Desired: Experience with Navy Supply System
Clearance: Active SECRET clearance and/or a current Common Access Card (CAC) desirable. Work Location: Richmond, VA - Steel toe shoe required. Military Installation Access: This position requires access to military installations. Must be U.S. Citizen and need to pass background investigation to qualify for and obtain a base access pass. Must be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance. Travel: This position may require up to 25% travel, with reimbursement in accordance with the JTR. As travel may include international destinations, a valid passport is desired. Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:
- Frequently lift and/or move parts up to 25lbs and occasionally lift and/or move parts up to 50lbs.
- Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for the majority of working hours.
- Ability to climb/scale ladders and/or manlifts.
- Frequently bend, stretch, twist, or reach out.
- Frequently use arms, hands, and fingers to grasp, move, package, and count very small objects.
- Occasionally able to carry items up to 20lbs for up to 100ft.
