Security Officer - Full Time - Morning Shift

As a Security Officer - Bank Perimeter Patrol in Elk Grove Village, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a major financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will support employees and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting using site technology. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical events, and unauthorized access concerns.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including lobbies, corridors, offices, stairwells, parking areas, and the building perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor entry points and assist with visitor management by verifying identification where required, issuing badges, and directing visitors and/or vendors to the appropriate destination per site policy.
• Perform security-related screenings and observe for prohibited items and/or suspicious behavior in accordance with site procedures and applicable regulations.
• Complete routine security-related inspections of doors, locks, gates, lighting, and other physical controls, and report maintenance needs and/or hazards through the appropriate channels.
• Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, access control, and intrusion alarms, and report irregular activity per post orders.
• Write detailed shift activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate information to Allied Universal leadership and oncoming personnel during shift transitions.
• Assist with crowd control and client de-escalation efforts during high-traffic periods, special events, and/or unexpected disruptions.
• Support emergency procedures such as evacuation, shelter-in-place, and lockdown activities as directed by site policies and local responders.
• Maintain a professional presence that can help to deter unauthorized activity through visibility, patrol, and consistent enforcement of site rules.
• Coordinate with building management, client representatives, and local law enforcement and/or emergency services when escalation is required, following site chain-of-command.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer Service Experience - preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet - preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
