Job Description




As a Unarmed Security Officer - Hotel Patrol in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to guest and staff needs with strong communication and customer service, document observations, and partner with site teams to support daily operations. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, property policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a hotel and resort location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of lobbies, guest room corridors, back-of-house areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help identify unusual conditions and policy concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, trespassing concerns, and service-related complaints.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, assist with guest directions and amenity information, and help manage crowd flow during peak check-in, events, and high-traffic periods.
  • Observe and report potential hazards such as spills, damaged lighting, unsecured doors, and equipment issues, and communicate findings to property management and/or maintenance.
  • Operate and/or observe surveillance systems, alarm panels, and radios when assigned, and promptly report suspicious activity and/or policy violations.
  • Complete detailed shift logs and incident reports, document patrol observations, and preserve related information for follow-up by management and/or responding agencies.
  • Assist with lost and found intake and documentation, and coordinate with hotel staff to reunite items with owners when appropriate.
  • Support arriving responders by providing location information, access coordination, and site directions, and assist with post-incident documentation as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
