As a Security Officer - Mobile Unarmed Patrol in Baltimore, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors while delivering strong customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the production, warehouse, and office areas and around the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Perform access control at designated entry points by checking identification, logging visitors, and directing deliveries to the appropriate receiving areas.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other site systems when assigned, and communicate concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Complete routine patrol and incident reports, documenting observations, irregularities, and corrective actions taken.
  • Support food and beverage operations by assisting with traffic control for truck yards, employee parking areas, and pedestrian routes as assigned.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and property damage by maintaining a visible presence and promptly reporting suspicious activity.
  • Coordinate with local emergency responders and site management during emergencies, following site-specific procedures and post orders.
  • Follow all Allied Universal policies and site-specific requirements related to hygiene, restricted areas, and personal protective equipment as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must have 3+ years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Applicants must be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Applicants must have 5+ years of security-related experience.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
