Who We're Looking For

You're a detail-oriented mortgage professional with a proven track record of managing residential loan files from start to finish. You're confident navigating DU/DO, LP, and Encompass 360 systems and thrive in fast-paced environments where precision and communication are key. You take pride in processing a high-volume pipeline while ensuring every file meets compliance and service standards. You know how to collaborate with team members, resolve documentation issues efficiently, and maintain strong borrower relationships. If you're ready to bring your mortgage expertise to a values-driven team that prioritizes both accuracy and client experience-this role is for you.

About the Role

As a Mortgage Loan Processor at First Western Trust, you'll play a vital role in ensuring a smooth, accurate, and efficient residential lending experience. From gathering and verifying documentation to coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, your attention to detail and ability to manage multiple files at once will help drive client satisfaction and operational excellence. You'll work autonomously while maintaining open communication with team members and borrowers throughout the loan lifecycle.

What You'll Do

  • Review new loan files, initiate borrower contact, and request outstanding documentation.

  • Order verifications such as income, assets, title, credit, and appraisals; review and analyze for accuracy.

  • Calculate key financial metrics (LTV/CLTV, income) and update files and automated underwriting systems.

  • Submit files to underwriting for review and communicate loan status to borrowers and transaction stakeholders.

  • Collect and review documentation to satisfy conditions; update loan applications and systems for final submission.

  • Manage a pipeline of loans, ensuring deadlines are met and exceptions are escalated.

  • Collaborate with Mortgage Loan Officers, underwriters, and other team members to support complex files.

  • Adhere to compliance policies, regulatory standards, and fraud prevention procedures.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance-or equivalent work experience.

  • 3-5 years of experience in residential mortgage loan processing within a bank environment.

  • Proficiency in FHA, VA, and conventional loan processing; bond program and GUS experience preferred.

  • Skilled in DU/DO, LP, and Encompass 360; Microsoft Office Suite proficiency required.

  • Strong ability to process up to 30 mortgage loan files per month while maintaining accuracy and service standards.

  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently with limited supervision.

  • Strong communication skills and a client-first mindset, with the ability to collaborate across teams.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary: $24.24 - $31.50/HR, plus strong bonus potential.

  • 401(k) plan with employer match.

  • Paid parking and transportation benefits.

  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits, including:

    • Health savings accounts (HSA)

    • Flexible spending accounts (FSA)

    • Medical, dental, and vision coverage

  • Generous paid time off and bank holidays.

  • Access to training and professional development programs.

  • Sponsorship and support for obtaining professional certifications.

  • A culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and shared success.
