Cybersecurity Analyst

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Analyst to join our growing IT security team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals without a degree but a few years of IT experience. As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting with the protection of our company's digital assets, monitoring security systems, and responding to security incidents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply cyber security policies and monitoring to Cloud and On-Perm environments

  • Monitor network and system activity for potential security threats and vulnerabilities.

  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of security incidents and breaches.

  • Perform routine security audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.

  • Help implement and maintain security tools, such as firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.

  • Document security incidents and create detailed reports for management review.

  • Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.

  • Support the IT team in maintaining compliance with company security policies and industry regulations.

  • Participate in security awareness training for employees.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent IT experience).

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts, operating systems, and security principles.

  • Familiarity with common cybersecurity tools and technologies (e.g., EDR, firewalls, SIEM).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning.

  • Must live in Cleveland metro area. We are unable to provide relocation expenses

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship will not be provided for this position

Preferred Skills
  • Internship or coursework experience in cybersecurity or IT.

  • Cloud service administration or other IT experience

  • Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI) is a plus.

  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or Cisco CCNA Cyber Ops are advantageous but not required.
