POSITION SUMMARY:



The Chief People Officer is responsible for the overall administration and management of the People Department which includes human resources functions necessary to maintain a Servant Leadership and regulatory compliant environment. The CPO is responsible for being the employee advocate to facilitate the company's mission of making a positive difference and earning a fair profit.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.




  1. Responsible for all People Department and Human Resources regulatory requirement compliance.
  2. Responsible for establishing and maintaining a professional and experienced Human Resources Department with a service focus.
  3. Responsible for the day-to-day HR operational issues to include employee relations, compensation reviews, benefits, performance management and training.
  4. Engaged with Executive team in strategic deliberations.
  5. Supervision and leading the HR Team in creating an inviting and cohesive employee experience for all locations.
  6. Implement and manage compliance efforts with all employment laws and regulation that are applicable to the company.
  7. Act as an employee champion and change agent by anticipating HR related needs and delivering value added services for the benefit of employees.
  8. Provide insightful crisis management advice when required.
  9. Maintain wage and salary plans to include involvement in collective bargaining related matters as required.
  10. Investigate claims of misconduct and escalate to legal and security team as required.
  11. Ensure that the organizations values are reflected in all people-oriented decisions.
  12. Develop an annual People Department Plan or roadmap to include a KA Kulture and servant leadership training.
  13. Implement the KA Eight Steps of Talent Management process to perpetuate employee and company growth and foster a servant leadership environment.
  14. Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:




  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Ten (10) or more years of progressive career and scope growth within the HR function.
  • SPHR certification is preferred.
  • Relevant experience working for a contractor or aerospace company.
  • HRIS experience and able to advise on rollout and integration of new systems.



LANGUAGE ABILITY:




  • This position requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations and the ability to write reports and business correspondence. This position must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams of subject matter experts in achieving organizational objectives.



MATH ABILITY:




  • This position requires the ability to apply concepts of basic math and algebra, fractions, percentages, ration, and proportions to practical situations.



REASONING ABILITY:




  • This position requires the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. This position must interpret a variety of instructions furnished written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.



COMPUTER SKILLS:




  • Ability and knowledge to use a computer and related technology effectively.



WORK ENVIRONMENT




  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, and talk or hear, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.
