Responsibilities

Job SummaryThe Clinical Operations Supervisor serves as a pivotal leader within the Nursing Division, directly supervising assigned Nursing and Ancillary Services staff. This role coordinates high-quality patient care and administrative operations across departments during designated shifts, bridging clinical and administrative functions. The Supervisor fosters a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and collaboration, aligning daily operations with the hospital's mission and values. Essential Functions
  • Directly supervises assigned Nursing and Ancillary Services staff (e.g., Administrative Reps, Nursing Assistants, Unit Clerks, Ancillary Services personnel), including hiring, onboarding, performance management, coaching, and development. Ensures productivity, quality of work, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Coordinates clinical and administrative operations, including patient placement, resource allocation, and shift coverage. Acts as the primary point of contact for operational issues during assigned shifts.
  • Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Maintains financial integrity through budget oversight and resource stewardship.
  • Facilitates communication and collaboration among nursing, ancillary, administrative, medical staff, and other departments. Promotes problem-solving and conflict resolution.
  • Supports quality improvement initiatives and evaluates staff development programs. Regularly rounds with physicians, patients, and families to enhance patient experience and care outcomes.
  • Educates patients and families on care plans, post-treatment needs, and hospital resources.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
EducationBachelor's Degree - RequiredBSN Nursing - Preferred ExperienceMinimum 5 years nursing experience - RequiredMinimum 1 year supervisory experience - PreferredAdditional leadership or healthcare administration coursework - Preferred Certifications and LicensureRegistered Nurse (RN) - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure - RequiredAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Required upon hire.Must obtain relevant specialty certification within 1 year of hire or promotion.
