Job Description




As a Security Officer - Tenant Services Desk in Glendale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will welcome tenants and guests, manage visitor access and badge activity, monitor alarm panels and cameras, and document security-related incidents with clear communication. You will be a visible, professional presence who helps support a secure workplace through teamwork, integrity, and a caring culture that puts people first, while staying agile, reliable, and innovative.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Operate the front desk in a commercial property setting, greeting and directing guests, answering phones, and communicating with building management as needed.
  • Manage access control at the lobby desk, including checking identification, issuing visitor badges, maintaining sign-in and sign-out logs, and coordinating guest entry with tenant contacts.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other building systems as assigned, reporting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications to building management and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Complete written and electronic reports such as incident reports, daily activity logs, and visitor records with clear, accurate details.
  • Support tenant and property management requests within post orders, including assisting with deliveries, vendor check-in, and directing contractors to approved areas.
  • Control keys, access cards, and other building-issued items as assigned, documenting issuance and returns per site policy.
  • Maintain a professional front desk presence, keeping the lobby area orderly, following uniform and appearance standards, and providing clear directions and information to the public.
  • Participate in required trainings and briefings, follow confidentiality expectations, and use radios, phones, and/or other communication tools to coordinate with site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
