As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will greet visitors, support access control, and monitor activity at the main entry to help maintain a welcoming, professional environment. You will manage check-ins, provide clear directions, document security-related observations, and communicate with staff as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Staff the front desk post, greet and direct visitors, and answer routine questions while maintaining a professional, service-focused presence.
  • Control access by verifying identification, confirming appointments, issuing visitor credentials as required, and coordinating sign-in and sign-out processes.
  • Monitor entry points, lobby activity, and designated cameras and/or alarms from the front desk area, reporting irregular activity according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from management and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and service requests using required reporting systems and/or logs.
  • Enforce site rules and posted procedures in a courteous manner, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior.
  • Receive and route calls, messages, and deliveries per site policy, including coordinating with building staff and/or internal departments as needed.
  • Support emergency procedures by assisting with notifications, access control actions, and documentation as directed by site leadership.
  • Communicate clearly with Allied Universal supervision and site representatives regarding post operations, schedule changes, and service needs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
