As a Security Officer - Media Campus Patrol Driver in Olive Branch, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related concerns. You will support access control points, observe activity, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors while delivering customer-focused service. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout technology-focused office and/or campus areas, including building interiors, exterior perimeters, parking areas, and common spaces. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, managing visitor check-in, and directing guests to appropriate destinations.
- Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns, documenting findings and communicating them to appropriate personnel.
- Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, access control alarms, and intercoms according to post orders, reporting system issues as observed.
- Complete timely, accurate written reports for patrols, incidents, and service requests, using required reporting tools and maintaining detailed logs.
- Provide customer-focused assistance such as answering questions, offering directions, and supporting orderly flow of foot traffic and/or vehicles when needed.
- Support emergency and business continuity procedures by assisting with evacuations, shelter-in-place activities, and accountability processes as directed by site policies.
- Work collaboratively with on-site staff and/or other Allied Universal team members to follow post orders and maintain consistent security-related coverage.
Minimum Requirements: - A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A Guard Card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
