Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced manufacturing and industrial location, supporting an access control post where you greet employees and visitors, manage badges and entry permissions, monitor access points, and document security-related activity using onsite systems. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine rounds as assigned, and communicate clearly to help to deter incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, authorizations, and scheduled appointments in accordance with site requirements.
  • Issue and track visitor, contractor, and temporary badges, and maintain accurate sign-in and sign-out records.
  • Screen and direct deliveries, service providers, and outbound shipments per site procedures, including coordinating with receiving and shipping contacts as needed.
  • Conduct vehicle and truck entry processing, including checking credentials, documenting trailer and container information, and maintaining access logs.
  • Monitor alarm panels, access control systems, radios, phones, and/or CCTV systems, and communicate unusual activity to site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete detailed reports on access activity, incidents, and policy exceptions, and escalate concerns through the chain of command.
  • Support security-related screening measures as assigned, such as package checks and metal detector operations when in use at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience using access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
