Job Description




As a Security Officer - Bottling Facility Patrol in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a busy food and beverage retail location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a professional, visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will also assist team members and visitors with courteous service, clear communication, and timely reporting. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floors, stock areas, receiving areas, parking lots, and perimeter to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity.
  • Maintain a visible presence at entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas while greeting customers and team members and assisting with routine questions.
  • Monitor CCTV and/or alarm systems when assigned and report irregular activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including customer disputes, disruptive behavior, suspected shoplifting, medical situations, and fire or utility issues.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic systems according to location requirements.
  • Assist with access control by checking identification, managing visitor procedures, and confirming deliveries and contractors follow location-specific requirements.
  • Support loss prevention and operations by observing merchandise movement, coordinating with store management, and calling law enforcement when directed by post orders.
  • Perform opening and closing walkthroughs as assigned, checking doors, gates, emergency exits, and lighting for irregularities and reporting concerns.
  • Communicate clearly by radio, phone, and in person with store leadership, Allied Universal leadership, and responding emergency personnel, as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
