As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with team members and site contacts, document observations, and deliver customer service with professionalism. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting assistance from site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouse, yard, parking, dock areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Control access at entrances, gates, and/or visitor check-in points by verifying credentials, directing drivers and visitors to the proper areas, and documenting entries and exits per site policy.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or access control systems when assigned, and report irregular activity or system issues following post orders.
  • Perform foot and/or vehicle patrols, observe for hazards, unsecured doors, and/or suspicious behavior, and communicate findings to the site point of contact.
  • Complete detailed shift reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation in a timely manner, maintaining accurate logs of activities and observations.
  • Support loading and unloading operations by maintaining order at dock and staging areas, assisting with traffic flow and/or queue management, and directing vehicles to designated routes per site policy.
  • Interact professionally with employees, contractors, and drivers, providing directions and responding to questions while maintaining a customer-focused presence.
  • Follow Allied Universal post orders, instructions, and client requirements, including participating in briefings and coordinating with site leadership during escalations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
