The Minnesota Business Banking Team Leader will lead and grow a high-performing Business Banking team while driving strong financial results across multiple markets. This role blends people leadership, business development, and portfolio oversight with meaningful impact on clients and communities. You'll have the opportunity to shape strategy, grow relationships, and advance your leadership career at Associated Bank.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage and coach a team of Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, and support staff to drive business development, relationship management, and portfolio performance.

  • Drive profitable growth by initiating new client relationships, expanding existing ones, and leading major deal opportunities.

  • Oversee P&L performance and ensure resources are aligned to highest and best use across assigned markets.

  • Partner with internal teams to deliver comprehensive banking solutions, including deposits, treasury management, capital markets, and wealth services.

  • Ensure sound credit quality by overseeing portfolio administration, risk management, and compliance with credit policy and regulatory guidelines.

  • Advise clients on financial trends and business conditions while developing team capabilities in financial advisory skills.

  • Collaborate with Business Banking leadership to execute market strategy, annual plans, and growth initiatives.

Education & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Business, Finance, or Accounting

  • 7+ years of experience in commercial, corporate, or specialized banking

  • Ability to travel locally with reliable transportation

Preferred

  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or willingness to obtain within 2 years
