The University of Virginia School of Medicine (SOM) seeks a Director of Projects to serve as a key member of the Dean's leadership team. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Finance & Administration, this highly visible role partners closely with the Dean, the Dean's Cabinet, and senior leaders across SOM to coordinate, advance, and execute strategic initiatives and priority projects. The Director of Projects provides leadership and operational support across a wide range of administrative, academic, and clinical functions. This role plays a central part in policy and bylaws development and interpretation, manages senior leadership transactions in Workday, and serves as the primary point of contact for high-priority and ad hoc initiatives critical to the School's mission, while maintaining absolute confidentiality. As such, this self-directed role must frequently reprioritize to ensure critical items are addressed timely. Key Responsibilities
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's degree Experience: Eight years of increasingly responsible experience. Master's degree is typical and may substitute for some experience. Relevant exempt level experience may substitute for a degree. Licensure: None Preferred Qualifications
PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs. The anticipated hiring range is $95,000-$115,000, commensurate with education and experience. This is an exempt-level, benefited position. Learn more about UVA benefits.
