DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Review of multiple domestic and international affiliate financial statements for compliance with US GAAP on a monthly/quarterly basis
  • Prepare electronic month-end close binders
  • Participate in month-end group close process and tie out of financial statements
  • Coordinate accounting issues with overseas financial staff, other Seaboard departments, and investment partners
  • Prepare group MD&A and other quarterly schedules
  • Complete ad-hoc reporting and analysis as necessary
  • Complete SOX internal control compliance
  • Prepare year-end audit support schedules
  • Manage the financial accounting filing system
  • Prepare weekly cash flow forecast
  • Travel to international affiliate locations and perform site reviews



EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE



  • 2+ years job-related experience, working for a Big 4 accounting firm
  • Bachelor's degree, Accounting required
  • Master's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred
  • US CPA Required
  • Proficient in MS Office with advanced skills in Excel
  • Experience with reporting financials in accordance with US GAAP
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Financials is a plus



OTHER QUALIFICATIONS



  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and interact with
  • overseas affiliate location management and division executive management
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, especially as it relates to presenting technical accounting concepts with the ability to clearly and confidently communicate issues and any necessary changes with affiliate financial statements
  • Ability to effectively lead affiliates through the process of identifying and resolving issues with their
  • monthly financial statements in a timely manner
  • High attention to detail and deadline-oriented
  • Highly organized with the ability to keep track of accounting issues and follow-up for numerous financial statements on a monthly/quarterly basis
  • Basic knowledge of one or more languages is a plus (French, Spanish)
  • Must be able to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally
