Women's Residential - Clinical Supervisor (Full Time)

Location: Johnston, RI

The full time role of the Residential Clinical Supervisor is to oversee day to day operations of their respective substance use treatment residential program. This position reports to the Director of Substance Use Residential Treatment.

Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the management of clinical operations of the program.
  • Works closely with Director of Substance Use Residential Treatment on management tasks such as hiring/recruitment, clinical staff scheduling of a 24/7 program, establishing treatment recommendations, participating in quality assurance activities, and other activities that ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulation and accreditation bodies.
  • Provides clinical supervision to counseling and residential treatment workers following applicable state and federal requirements.Direct clinical care; meets with clients 1:1 and in a group setting to support clinical staff. Carries a client caseload when needed (ie: staffing shortages due call outs and position vacancies).
  • Provides direct intervention and support to staff in times of client crisis/escalation.
  • Completes necessary documentation in a timely manner according to state and federal regulation and accreditation including but not limited to; entering administrative and clinical documentation into the electronic health record, incident reporting, client treatment agreements, and meeting notes.
  • Fosters working relationships with community partners and referral sources including but not limited to; probation/parole, DCYF, RI BHDDH, and other healthcare partners in the state.
  • Attendance of required agency in services and outside trainings as needed to attain and maintain independent licensure.

Qualifications:


  • 5 years' experience in substance use treatment/behavioral health.
  • 2 years of leadership/supervisory experience in a related field.
  • LCDP/Independent licensure is required.
