Job Description General Responsibilities: Terracon's Salt Lake City office is looking for a talented and experienced addition to our Environmental Department! As one of the largest and most-established environmental consulting firms in Utah, Terracon has an incredible team of environmental professionals and amazing clients. Primary duties would include conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments on real property. This involves gathering and evaluating regulatory and historical data, performing site reconnaissance, interviewing stakeholders, conducting file reviews and preparing a report detailing findings. In addition to Phase I ESAs, opportunities are available to be involved with Brownfield assessments and grants, limited site investigations, and asbestos inspections and sampling. Completion of some projects may require working outside of standard office hours and days. Required Skills: Exceptional writing skills. Excellent communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and deliver quality product on time. Ability to cultivate strong relationships within a team. Essential Roles and Responsibilities: Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management. Conduct site visits throughout the Region and prepare data for written reports. Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects. Must be able to generate reports on time. Assist in the collection and analysis of data from sampling, reports, maps, drawings, tests and aerial photographs to evaluate, plan and permit projects. May have limited client contact pertaining to specific projects/tasks. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related science field and a minimum 1-year related experience. Or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 5 years' related experience. Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
