| Posting Summary |
Curate an exhibition of art and artifacts for display in the Criminal Justice Gallery, RUN.
* The exhibition will be installed in Spring Semester (March-April-May exact date to be
confirmed) and will be on display for one year period.
* The GC will research the archives of the Institute of Jazz Studies with a view to borrowing
(or creating exhibition copies) of relevant materials for the show.
* The GC will also research contemporary artists whose work engages with the themes of
jazz.
* The GC is responsible for sourcing artwork, artifacts, material, and creating a contents
list for the exhibition.
* The GC will work with PRG staff to bring work to the campus (through physical transport,
reproduction of sensitive material, framing, etc)
* The GC will create a rationale for the exhibition (for the didactic, promotion) and
individual extended texts for the artworks.
* Research to start as soon as feasibly possible
* Meeting with Dean of CJ Gallery early in new year to confirm she is happy with the draft
content
* Start of semester nail down precise content, send loan contracts, arranging printing etc |
