DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections and accuracy assessments of weighing and measuring instruments utilized in commercial transactions. Your duties will include examining commodities that are packaged, sold, or offered for sale based on weight, measure, or count, ensuring compliance with established standards. Additionally, you will perform audits of inspections carried out by Certified Examiners of Weights and Measures to verify their adherence to regulatory requirements. Furthermore, you will investigate any allegations of fraud or abuse related to these practices, taking appropriate enforcement actions when necessary to uphold integrity and fairness in the marketplace.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Four years of public contact work, including one year of experience in weights and measures inspections; and graduation from high school; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the applicant with the requisite knowledge and skills and abilities with weights and measures inspections.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of a valid PA Class C non-commercial driver's license.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
