Description

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Finance, the Director, Finance owns short and long-term revenue forecasting, including pipeline health, bookings, billings, and ARR. This is accomplished by partnering with others in the organization including Sales, Marketing, and Product to ensure eMoney is focused on the right opportunities in the market (with the most effective pricing & packaging strategies) to drive favorable SaaS unit economics and return on investments overall. This role has a direct impact on the creation of the long-term vision for the business. This role also leads a team responsible for all pricing-related activities required to support a successful Sales process for the organization inclusive of modeling, testing, reporting and communication aboutpricing and its effects on the business as well as cross-functional collaboration to bring pricing and packaging to the market.

The Director, Finance role requires the ability to form strong relationships with all levels across the organization and will need those relationships to define and drive effective processes and governance frameworks to ensure appropriate transparency. To be successful in this role, this person must have the ability to understand the needs of our clients as well as the capabilities of the eMoney platform.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain short and long-term revenue forecasting, including pipeline health, bookings, billings, and ARR.
  • Responsible for Revenue Reporting & Analytics including delivering timely, decision-ready revenue insights (growth drivers, churn, expansion, cohort trends) and translating complex revenue data into executive-level narratives.
  • Play a leadership role in tactical and strategic pricing activities across eMoney Finance.
  • Serve as the authority on pricing and packaging and develop a strategic roadmap which informs the overall pricing strategy working with Sales, Marketing, and the leadership team.
  • Maintain and improve an efficient operating model for eMoney, developing a deep understanding of SaaS unit economics and ensuring our pricing and delivery models are designed to meet our margin & growth objectives
  • Develop detailed financial models highlighting key metrics, unit economics, assumptions, and impacts to both eMoney and the client
  • Support pricing efforts and strategy across both new and existing clients and products.
  • Monitor industry trends and provide pricing model recommendations to eMoney
  • Partner with Product Marketing in pricing research efforts focused on identifying initial price points for new products and overall pricing of eMoney's portfolio of products
  • Provide analysis to Senior Leadership to understand the potential implications of introducing different pricing models / structures on eMoney's profitability.
  • Establish project plans for medium to large-sized pricing & retention projects and obtain management approval regarding project scope/deliverables, time and cost constraints
  • Coach / mentor team members and provide regular constructive feedback to support and improve performance with the support of direct management
  • Support Deal Execution with Accurate Quota Impact Analysis: Partner with sales and finance teams to evaluate new transactions in real-time, ensuring correct calculation and attribution of quota retirement based on pricing terms, ARR recognition rules and compliance with internal policies
  • Prepare high-quality documents and presentations that articulate "the story" quickly and effectively
  • Design, maintain and manage effective governance and decision-making processes for eMoney's strategic pricing decisions
  • In partnership with Product and Marketing organizations, support strategy and business case development, including 'story-telling,' research support and financial modelling
  • Partner with Marketing to lead ad hoc and/or recurring research & analysis projects (market sizing, competitive research, etc.)
  • Support efforts across the organization to identify and present actionable strategic and analytic insights that will help senior management make informed decisions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent required
  • 10+ years of experience in Finance, preferably within a medium-sized, high-growth company
  • At least 5+ years of managerial experience
  • Excellent financial modeling skills
  • SaaS and FinTech experience is a plus
  • MBA degree is a plus

The salary range for this position is $163,000 - $200,000; commensurate salary to be determined based on skills, professional background and expertise. This position is also eligible, pursuant to applicable eMoney policies, for the annual bonus program, retirement contributions, health insurance, sick leave, parental leave and paid time off.
