Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Tempe, AZ. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • The Exhaust Processor's primary function is to operate and oversee tube process stations and associated vacuum and electronic equipment to manufacture intensifier tube components.
  • The Exhaust Processor uses hand tools to remove numerous stainless-steel bolts to access and remove finished products from the vacuum and electronic equipment.
  • The Exhaust Processor will unload and reload the systems without damaging the fragile tubes or the equipment.
  • This position will be responsible for performing various routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
  • This position has considerable physical demands.
  • The incumbent will adhere to procedures and work instructions to perform the exhaust process on components to achieve quality and yield goals set by the Exhaust department.
  • Produce a quality product that meets the customer specifications and maintain sufficient inventory to satisfy our internal and external customers. Interprets data from Analytical/ Diagnostics equipment to make sound decisions based on relevant facts
  • Must be able to follow written procedures and complete assigned work promptly to keep the production schedule while maintaining acceptable yields as determined by area supervisors and engineers
  • Utilize a variety of hand tools and follow written process procedures for intensifier image tube processing
  • Monitor data from various meters and sensing devices that measure vacuum, temperature, and torque
  • Maintain accurate record entry through the use of the on-site Quality Tracking System (QTS)
  • Define complex equipment issues and quality levels while informing engineering of any process, component, etc. that deviates from normal processing.
  • Adhere to the best vacuum and clean room practices.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years of experience
  • Minimum 3 years of Manufacturing-related work experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a mechanical background (airplane, shop, engines, etc.)
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree
  • Previous experience with ultra-high vacuum technology and semiconductor processing (OJT provided)
  • Knowledge of all safety (mechanical, chemical, electrical) procedures applicable to the job
  • Be able to wear clean room attire and work in a clean room.
  • Demonstrate speed and accuracy in accomplishing trained tasks
  • Have strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to become familiar with SPC (Statistical Process Control)
  • Be able to work alone and with others in a team environment
  • Be able to multitask while monitoring multiple exhaust stations
  • Ability to become familiar with Six Sigma problem-solving tools, 5S+1, and Lean methodologies.
  • Be able to follow written procedures and complete assigned work promptly
  • Ability to make quality decisions quickly
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision if needed
  • Good communication skills
  • Teamwork-oriented
  • Able to meld quickly with the team
