Department OverviewThe Go-to-Market and Digital team, under the Creative Studio umbrella, creates digital and print assets-including emails, digital display and banner ads, web assets, promotional collateral, presentations, brochures, and case studies-to support global sales and marketing campaigns and initiatives. We use storytelling and creative problem-solving to collaborate, elevate our brand, differentiate our solutions, and attract more customers for our sellers. Job Description

Motorola Solutions offers a comprehensive, 11-week full-time paid internship program designed to offer hands-on experience with real projects for real products that make a real difference. You will work collaboratively with the design team to support internal and external marketing campaigns and initiatives. This role will offer design experience in a fast-paced, dynamic and highly collaborative environment where your ideas are valued.

Our Creative Studio is in search of a Graphic Design intern to work in both digital and print media who is highly-skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, Office Suite and Google Suite - with an interest in HTML.

You will drive creative storytelling concepts through your passion for visual design, experience in collaborative work environments and your effective communication skills. Attention to detail is key and you will deliver impactful and beautiful designs with the utmost quality. You will ensure all projects align with our business needs and brand voice and style.

You'll join our team in our Chicago Corporate Headquarters where our culture is casual and social but fast-paced with an emphasis on innovation and creativity. Working alongside our product experts, you will confidently communicate conceptual ideas driven by best practices and business objectives.

Hiring Requirements
  • Translate concepts into visual storytelling and creative concepts while ensuring quality, consistency and visual and brand standards are met.

  • Prepare and present work to internal teams including senior leadership.

  • Be an advocate of the Motorola Solutions brand.

  • Execute on presentations, print collateral, emails, social media graphics or display ads.

  • Collaborate and brainstorm with business partners to understand, identify and collect requirements to creatively execute design concepts.

  • Bring new ideas to the team to elevate design through creative problem solving, research and being vigilant of current trends.

  • Be empathetic

  • Function, adapt and succeed in a constantly changing, fast paced environment.

  • Bring a positive attitude and motivation to deliver the highest quality assets.

  • Respond positively and calmly to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills

  • Candidates must be pursuing a degree in Graphic Design or a related field

  • Excellent writing and presentation skills

  • Strong project management and organizational skills; able to shift focus and work under short deadlines

  • Highly collaborative; able to build productive, positive working relationships internally and externally

  • Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite: Adobe Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat. High proficiency in Google Suite or equivalent programs.

  • Experience working on a variety of formats i.e. presentations, flyers, brochures, case studies, promotion collateral, banner ads, web assets, graphics/environmental graphics, emails

  • Strong print/digital production skills i.e file packaging, color management, preflight or prepare files for print, work with printers and press checks and troubleshoot issues

  • Expert knowledge of design elements, typography, balance, hierarchy and color usage. Strong conceptual, illustrative and layout skills

  • Advanced capabilities in Powerpoint/presentation design

  • Basic knowledge of CSS and HTML, interactive layout/design

  • High energy: a desire to learn and a drive to excel.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

Basic Requirements
  • High School Diploma is required

  • Must be pursuing a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree with a graduation date of December 2026 or later

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
