As a Security Officer in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed, driving patrol officer with Allied Universal at a tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access points, document activity, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a tech, media, and/or telecom location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting assistance, documenting actions taken, and communicating updates to site contacts.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, lobbies, and common areas, helping to verify authorized entry and/or directing visitors and contractors to the proper check-in process.
- Operate and observe monitoring systems such as cameras, alarms, and access control panels, reporting irregularities according to site procedures.
- Complete routine patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity documentation in a clear and timely manner.
- Assist with security-related support for technology spaces such as data rooms, equipment storage areas, and service corridors by observing for unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
- Provide presence in parking areas and along walking routes as assigned, assisting with escorts and/or wayfinding when requested.
- Support emergency and business continuity procedures such as fire alarms, evacuations, medical calls, and weather-related events by following post orders and contacting appropriate responders.
- Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and vendors, helping to resolve minor issues and escalating concerns through the established chain of command.
Minimum Requirements: - A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
