Job Description




As a Security Officer - Government Facility - Part Time in Fort Worth, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will provide clear communication, strong customer service, and timely reporting while supporting a people-first culture built on integrity, teamwork, and innovation. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license and meeting AU Driver Policy requirements.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, employees and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, policies and post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, bus bays and perimeter zones to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify identification and/or credentials as required and direct individuals to appropriate locations.
  • Respond to incidents, service calls and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with local public agency partners when needed.
  • Observe and report suspicious behavior, violations of site rules and/or security-related concerns, and communicate findings to supervision and designated contacts.
  • Complete detailed written and/or electronic reports, including shift logs, patrol activity, incident documentation and witness statements when applicable.
  • Assist with crowd management and line control during peak travel periods, special events and/or service disruptions as directed by site leadership.
  • Operate site communications equipment such as radios, phones and/or mobile devices to relay updates and request additional support when appropriate.
  • Support emergency response activities per site procedures, including helping direct people away from restricted areas and supporting evacuations when directed.
  • Maintain a professional presence, follow uniform standards and practice courteous interactions while performing assigned duties for Allied Universal.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
