Retail Pharmacist - Per Diem

Department: Pharmacy - Outpatient
• Schedule: Per Diem (M-F 9am to 5pm)
• Facility: Prime Healthcare St Joseph Hospital
• Location: Elgin, IL 60123

Under the supervision of the pharmacist in charge of the outpatient pharmacy, coordinates the activities of the pharmacy department to provide the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to all patients served by the hospital or the outpatient pharmacy, while ensuring patient safety. The scope of patient care provided may include: General Medicine/Surgical, Intensive Care Services, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Emergency Care, Oncology, Peri-operative, Geriatrics and Outpatient Services.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current state Registered Pharmacist License.
2. Experience in retail pharmacy operations preferred.
3. B.S. degree in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
4. Vaccine license preferred (as allowed by state).
5. BLS certification preferred (if active vaccination license then required).

Saint Joseph Hospital - Elgin offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $72.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
