TechSource delivers specialized technical and enterprise expertise supporting national security missions at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). Through embedded partnerships with Triad and ALDWP, TechSource helps modernize production systems, strengthen digital infrastructure, and support mission-critical manufacturing operations.



About the Team:

The Production Enterprise Services group supports LANL's Weapons Production and Weapons Systems mission, focusing on modernization and integration of production, engineering, and lifecycle systems. The team works across weapons programs to improve enterprise architecture, digital workflows, configuration management, and system interoperability that enable safe, secure, and reliable weapons manufacturing and sustainment.

Position Summary:

This role supports weapons system production and lifecycle management by driving digital transformation and system integration across LANL's weapons manufacturing enterprise. The position partners with weapons engineers, production organizations, quality, and IT stakeholders to ensure enterprise systems, data flows, and production technologies align with mission requirements, regulatory constraints, and national security standards.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support weapons systems production and lifecycle management through modernization of digital and enterprise production systems.
  • Map and maintain enterprise weapons production architectures, including system interfaces, data flows, and configuration baselines.
  • Support Production Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, configuration management, and Bill of Materials (BOM) integration for weapons programs.
  • Coordinate technology insertion efforts (e.g., RFID, Bluetooth, and asset tracking technologies) within secure, harsh, and classified production environments.
  • Evaluate and improve data interfaces, user experience, and centralized data integration across weapons manufacturing and sustainment systems.
  • Conduct gap analyses comparing current-state weapons production tools to future-state digital manufacturing and systems management objectives.
  • Support infrastructure, workflow, and governance improvements across multiple weapons programs and production facilities.
  • Interface with weapons engineering, production operations, quality assurance, and cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with DOE/NNSA requirements.
  • Contribute to long-term weapons system modernization roadmaps and enterprise integration strategies.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, information systems, industrial technology, or a related technical field; advanced or equivalent experience may substitute.
  • Active DOE Q security clearance required; an active TS may be considered for candidates able to start immediately and transition to Q.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting weapons systems, production operations, enterprise systems, or digital transformation in regulated or high-consequence environments.
  • Working knowledge of weapons production workflows, configuration management, data interfaces, and enterprise manufacturing systems.
  • Experience operating in secure, onsite production environments with classified or controlled information.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage priorities across multiple weapons-related initiatives.
