Starting rate: $28.63/hour

Overall Purpose:

Under direct supervision of a Yard Group Leader or Supervisor in charge of scheduled, mobile workers at a facility, to perform grass, wood and shrub cutting, yard slaging, snow removal and salting, general good housekeeping and related work.

Job Duties:

• Receives and follows instructions in substation and other facilites'clearance, safety, and operating procedures.
• Assists in maintaining the substation, facility or other properties in a clean, orderly condition.
• Performs: grass, wood and shrub cutting; application of weed control materials, insecticides and fertilizers.
• Assists in repair and restoration of yard grades, slag surfaces and drainage installations.
• Performs cleaning duties such as: washing of facility interiors, removal of rubbish; washing windows, cleaning exterior grounds, walks, driveways and yards; sweeping, mopping, waxing floors; and, other general cleaning duties as assigned.
• Assists in the removal of snow and ice from walkways.
• Submits daily logs of the work performed including data entry and other reports of work performed and unusual conditions observed.
• Performs other work as required and assigned.

Education / Experience Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent required
• Within one year must obtain a State of Pennsylvania Drivers License, Class B,
  with endorsements.
