If you are looking to take the next step in your career, The Department of Nursing is seeking a motivated and transformational leader with a passion for neonatalpatients to fill the Professional Development Nurse role supporting the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

What you will do:

  • Fulfill a 1.0 FTE; full-time, salaried position

  • Support nursing education, competency, and professional development for RNs in the Neonatal ICU including our Neonatal Transport Team

  • Act as a change agent and advocate while participating in both unit-based and system-wide improvement work and projects

  • Collaborate with great teams: NICU Leadership Teams (Director, Manager, Professional Development Nurse, Quality Improvement Nurse)

  • Large group of 40+ Professional Development Nurses

What you need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

  • Master's degree in Nursing required within 5 years

  • RN licensure to practice in the state of Wisconsin upon hire

  • 3-4 years of relevant RN experience in NICU

  • Skills that willhelp you be successful in this role include leadership, professionalism, organization, accountability, and collaboration

  • Basic Life Support CPR for Health Care Providers

  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NPR) and Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers. Ideal candidate will hold Neonatal Nursing Certifications in any of these areas: Transport, General/Regular NICU, Extremely low Birth Rate, S.T.A.B.L.E or Neonatal Orientate and Education Program (NOEP).
