Join our collaborative team at The Johns Hopkins Hospital on Zayed 12 West, a prestigious 32-bed adult inpatient unit renowned for it's exceptional care in neurosurgery and neurology. Our unit boasts a unique setup, including our 12-bed designated Brain Rescue Unit (BRU), a 6-bed Neurosurgical Intermediate Care Unit, and a 14-bed step-down unit. The 12-bed BRU has earned the Joint Commission-Advanced Certification and is recognized as a Comprehensive Stroke Center. As a Clinical Tech (CT), you are a valued member of our team and play a crucial role in providing excellent patient care to patients undergoing a diverse range of procedures and surgeries including craniotomies, shunts, spinal fusions, aneurysm clippings/coiling's, and more! At Johns Hopkins, our Department of Neurosciences stands at the forefront of groundbreaking treatments. As a clinical tech on 12 West, you'll have the opportunity to care for a broad spectrum of patients grappling with neurological disorders such as Parkinson's, myasthenia gravis, MS, Guillain-Barre syndrome, ALS, and more.

The Clinical Tech Intern works under the supervision of a nurse, and taking into consideration the developmental needs of the patient, performs routine patient activities and delegated patient care procedures of a specialized and technical nature as competency documentation designates.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required.
• Entry-level knowledge of basic clinical skills required to support nursing personnel with patient care activities and related services focused on the needs and comfort of patients. PCT Intern will remain in an intern role for no longer than 1 year. The PCT Intern will advance to the PCT I upon meeting training requirements.
• BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.

Salary Range: Minimum 18.00/hour - Maximum 18.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
