What this job involves:

As a Facilities Layout CAD Designer at JLL, you will support space-planning and documentation efforts across multiple multi-building campuses in the Fort Worth area through this onsite role that develops and maintains accurate 2D CAD layouts for offices, labs, and manufacturing spaces. You'll coordinate directly with a broad range of stakeholders including engineers, maintenance staff, vendors, and employees to ensure layouts remain current and dimensionally correct while conducting daily field walks, stakeholder meetings, and travel between campuses within approximately 20 miles. This role provides the accurate CAD documentation used by internal teams and vendors to guide installation, maintenance, and space-planning decisions across offices, laboratories, and manufacturing spaces.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Produce and update detailed 2D CAD layouts showing equipment, furniture, and architectural features while translating stakeholder input into dimensionally exact coordinate-based drawings
  • Conduct daily field verification to confirm existing conditions and as-built accuracy
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, operations, maintenance, EHS, real estate) and external partners (architects, vendors, contractors)
  • Maintain master facility layout drawings across all campuses ensuring consistent layering, standards, and revision control
  • Provide layout updates and documentation to support installations, relocations, and reconfigurations
  • Travel between local campuses (up to 20 miles) for coordination and field validation
  • Participate in daily in-person collaboration and coordination meetings while managing multiple layout requests concurrently

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience producing facility or equipment layouts in AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software
  • Proven ability to create precise, coordinate-based 2D drawings tied to architectural grids or column lines
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and drawing-version control
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, mechanical, and electrical plans
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating among diverse internal and external groups
  • Organized and able to manage multiple layout requests concurrently
  • Must work on-site full time and be able to travel locally between campuses ( 20-mile radius)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident/Green Card Holder

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with BIM tools (Revit, Navisworks, etc.) for reference or coordination
  • Experience in corporate, lab, or industrial facilities environments
  • Understanding of basic space-planning or facility-management principles
  • Knowledge of facility management systems and documentation processes
  • Experience with coordinate-based drawing systems and architectural grid references
  • Understanding of equipment installation and maintenance documentation requirements
  • Background in multi-campus facility operations and coordination

Location:

Onsite full time in Fort Worth area with daily travel between multiple campuses within 20-mile radius
