Maintenance Technician

Staffmark is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join a leading manufacturing team in Trussville, AL. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing production machinery, equipment, and facility systems to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Pay: $30-$35 per hour (based on experience)

Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday-Friday | 3:30 PM - 1:00 AM

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repairs on production equipment and machinery
• Respond to emergency repair needs as they arise
• Handle general facility repairs, including building and grounds maintenance
• Determine proper tools, parts, and procedures needed for tasks
• Read and interpret wiring schematics and technical diagrams
• Document all maintenance work accurately and in a timely manner
• Work independently or as part of a team from verbal or written instructions
• Report any safety concerns to the Safety Coordinator, Supervisor, or Department Manager
• Adhere to all company policies outlined in the Employee Handbook

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance
• Knowledge of basic tool use and machine operating systems, including electrical, electronic, hydro-pneumatic, and mechanical systems
• Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work
• Comfortable working in tight or awkward positions, including under and on top of machines or while on ladders/platforms
• Basic understanding of maintenance in areas such as HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, and masonry
• Must be available for full-time work, 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
