What to Expect

Tesla is looking for a highlymotivatedsoftware engineer to join the EnergyDevice Core Software Teamwith a focus onbuildinfrastructuretooling. This candidate willwork oninfrastructureandtoolsthatbuildsfirmware forIndustrial, Residential, and Chargingproducts in Tesla Energy.We work directly with development, testing, and reliability teams, as well ascore buildteam,on all newand existingcomponents and products.Youwill own systemsfor some of Tesla's newest productsthat arecritical to the mission of acceleratingthe world's transition to sustainable energy.


What You'll Do
  • Building new and enhancing existing developer tools
  • Accelerating Tesla's software development life cycle
  • Work as a team - tenaciouslysupportfirmware developers
  • Continuously improve our products: work with teams within ourorgto understand their needs and develop high-value solutions that accelerate ourproductsdevelopment

What You'll Bring
  • Experiencewithmodernbuild systems(buck2,bazel)
  • Experience with low-level programming languages (C/C++, Rust)
  • Experience with containers (docker)
  • Degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical/Software Engineering or equivalent, with practical software engineering experience or proof of exceptional skills in related fields
  • Preferred: Experience withMakefiles, buildrootoryocto, and firmware

    Expected Compensation
    $140,000 - $252,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
