As a Security Officer - Chemical Patrol Driver in Valparaiso, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment by conducting routine patrols throughout a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
  • Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to established protocols.
  • Document observations and incidents as required by site guidelines and Allied Universal procedures.
  • Communicate and collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to address security-related concerns specific to chemical and petrochemical environments.
  • Assist with access control measures and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response efforts as directed by site policies and Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
