Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Location: Westminster, MD

Hourly Rate: Up to $18.14hr depending on experience.

Hours: 6:00am to 3:30pm Monday-Thursday; 6:00am to 10:00am on Friday

Job Summary:


  • Come join our team! We currently have exciting possible Temp-to-Perm opportunities in Westminster, MD for Mechanical Assemblers to perform basic mechanical and/or electrical assembly of components.


Job Description:


  • The MS Assembler conducts pre-build inspections of components and performs basic mechanical and/or electrical assembly of components to build Micro electrical units for use in the rail car industry according to drawing specifications.


Essential Functions


  • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment and ensure the compliance with company's rules and policies.
  • Must be able to comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules, guidelines, and regulations. Be energy conscious, if applicable.
  • Must understand and comply with applicable standards. (i.e.: ISO 9001, ISO/TS 22163, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, and CMMI).
  • Maintain and safeguard business records.
  • Conduct pre-build inspections of components, noting any preexisting, handling-damage, prior to beginning the build process.
  • Utilizing approved manufacturing work instructions, use hand, pneumatic, and power tools to assemble components, according to drawing specifications, while adhering to quality requirements and best practices.
  • Test assembled units, utilizing established testing procedures.
  • Inform supervisor of any part or equipment defects noted during the cleaning process.
  • Monitor the shelf life of any consumables used to complete the build process. Follow all established disposal methods associated with consumable material.


Required:


  • 1-2 Years of relevant experience.
  • Must be able to follow work instruction and be able to use drawings.
  • Blueprint reading is a plus.
  • Ability to use a wide range of hand and power tools.
  • Overall willing to learn and show up each day on time ready to work!


Education:


  • High School Diploma or GED.

The base pay range listed reflects what we reasonably expect to offer for this role. Actual pay may vary based on location, experience, and performance.
