Summary

Performs inspections and maintenance on company owned single engine aircraft.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with inspections and maintenance on company owned single engine aircraft.
  • Occasionally responsible for ordering parts, handling shipping, receiving, and inventory
  • Assist in conducting aircraft logbook & records research
  • Handle company paperwork including processing company credit card purchases for approval
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • FAA Certified Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic
  • 2 years experience in General Aviation aircraft maintenance
  • Significant knowledge and experience with single-engine Cessna type aircraft maintenance
  • Basic computer skills such as working with Microsoft Office software
  • Able to work without direct supervision
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work effectively in conjunction with the Lead Mechanic in managing maintenance on the patrol aircraft.
  • Subject to extended workdays and/or workweeks, and call-out for emergency response. Will be required to carry a cell phone.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently, and able to adjust to changing priorities.

Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Usually, normal aircraft maintenance shop working conditions.

  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Includes exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, which require appropriate personal protective equipment.
