We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Vice President of Operations (VP, Operations) to lead hospital operations with excellence, innovation, and heart.

This executive leader will partner closely with clinical, physician, and administrative leaders to ensure operational effectiveness, patient safety, and an extraordinary care experience-while advancing our mission, values, and strategic goals.

The Vice President of Operations provides executive oversight of day-to-day hospital operations and long-term operational strategy. This role is responsible for driving operational performance, , improving quality and safety outcomes, and ensuring regulatory compliance across inpatient, outpatient, and support services.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the VP of Operations serves as a trusted thought partner to senior leadership and a visible, engaged leader across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Provide executive oversight for hospital operations, including inpatient units, ambulatory services, ancillary departments, and support services.
  • Ensure efficient, patient-centered operations aligned with clinical excellence and family experience.

Quality, Safety & Patient Experience

  • Partner with clinical leadership to drive high reliability, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives.

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Lead enterprise-wide initiatives focused on growth, access, throughput, and operational transformation.

People & Culture

  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing operational leaders and teams.

Physician & Clinical Partnership

  • Build strong relationships with physicians, nursing leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to align operational and clinical priorities.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field (required).
  • Minimum 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, preferably within a children's hospital or academic medical center.
  • Proven success leading complex hospital operations and large, multidisciplinary teams.
