Location: This role must be based out of a North America office location. This role follows a hybrid work mode which requires being onsite 3 days per week.

About the role:

The Sr.Supplier Quality EngineeringDirector leads an organizationofSQEManagers & Engineers to ensure full compliance to all Global Medical Device regulationsfor direct materials.

This is asignificantleadershiprolethatprovidesstrategicvision,direction and leadership inassuring andimproving product quality, service, and cost across Boston Scientificfor the North America supply chainandmultipleGlobal Sourcing Categories.

Thisleader willbe responsible forahighly motivated Supplier QualityEngineering organizationandthe rigorous application of BSC Supplier Controls,Material Controlsand Proactive Programsatsupplierstoachieveoutcomesthatmeetall ofBSC's rigorous quality, compliance,and materials expectations.

Thisleaderis a member of the Global Sourcingextendedleadership teamandwillbe responsibleforsponsorship andleadershipofcrossfunctionalprograms thatadvanceBSC'sGlobal Sourcingstrategy.

This leader will workwithother regional Supplier Quality, Direct Materialsleadersto shape organizational strategy for direct materialssupplier quality-siteand categorysupportto deliver value for BSC.

Lastly, this leader will work closely with other regional Supplier Engineering, Sourcing,and Site and Divisional leadership to align priorities, buildstrategiesand advance the business'sobjectives.

This role reports into the Vice President, Global Supplier Quality.

Key responsibilities include:



  • Assure that patient safety is prioritizedandquality records meet rigorouscompliance requirements.


  • Be a functional expert in Quality Systems & Compliance andSupplier Quality


  • Build andmaintainstrong relationships with Suppliers of Direct Materials


  • Lead region and assure thatBSC's Supplier Quality Management Program is effectively deployedand deliveringthehighest qualitydirectmaterialsto BSC manufacturing locations.


  • Build &maintainstrong relationships with ManufacturingLocations, Supply Chain, Divisionsand CorporateQualityteams.


  • Build &maintainstrong partnerships with the Global Sourcing and Supplier Engineering teams.


  • Provide supplier quality leadership and direction to team/organization and ensures the Quality Management System meets the various requirements of material controls regulatory requirements.


  • Be recognized as an excellentcommunicator andcollaboratoracross the organizationdriving proactive programs to deliversustained value.


  • Demonstrated commitment to developing peopleand performancein a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizationalobjectives.


  • Recognized as an expert in mentoring and coaching individual and team performance while visiblydemonstratingthe core values of BSC in his/her everyday leadership style.

Required Qualifications:



  • Minimum of aBachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or related technical discipline


  • Minimum of 10 years of related work experience in the Medical Device industry


  • Demonstrated expertise across Manufacturing, Supplier, Design and/or Quality Systems roles


  • Minimumof 10 years people management experience


  • Demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills


  • Financialacumen,budget planning & management


  • Commitment to organizational effectiveness and team & individual development


  • Experience managing high impact product performance: field issues, complaints, and field actions


  • Up to 20% Domestic and International Travel



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in managing global teams


  • Demonstrated skillsutilizingtechnology to drive innovation


  • Medical devicemanufacturingexperience preferred


  • High sense of urgency and commitment to execution

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) - see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com-will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Compensation for exempt, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
