Facility Space Planner

The Facility Planner is responsible for performing comprehensive facility planning and documentation in support of U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps installation requirements. This position ensures the development, maintenance, and integration of facility planning data and documentation in accordance with NAVFAC and USMC standards, policies, and guidelines. The Facility Planner supports long-range installation development through coordination, analysis, and preparation of facility planning products.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Facility Space Planner: $88,000 - $103,000

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Facility Space Planner Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepare Basic Facility Requirements (BFRs) in accordance with NAVFAC and USMC standards and guidelines.
  • Develop and update asset inventory documentation to maintain accurate and compliant facility data.
  • Prepare DD Form 1391 documentation and upload project data to the Electronic Project Generator (EPG) system.
  • Maintain and update Installation Facility Asset Data Store (INFADS) records and related planning data.
  • Develop and maintain Facility Planning Documents (FPDs) and other supporting materials to align with installation master plans.
  • Prepare and deliver facilities-related briefings, reports, and status updates to stakeholders.
  • Conduct economic analyses, site planning, and space utilization studies to support facility development and project justification.
  • Ensure environmental compliance during all planning activities in accordance with MCO 5090.2 and related environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with installation, regional, and headquarters-level personnel to support strategic infrastructure planning and decision-making.
  • Provide technical support and subject matter expertise in facility planning, real property management, and capital investment strategies.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Facility Space Planner Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent military experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in facility planning, military infrastructure planning, or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of NAVFAC and USMC planning standards, facility planning criteria, and associated systems (e.g., INFADS, EPG).
  • Experience preparing DD Form 1391s, BFRs, and related facility documentation.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with AutoCAD, GIS, or planning visualization tools.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
