Job Title: Web Engineer (SharePoint Online / O365)
Location: Blythewood, SC 29016
Duration: 12 Months Contract

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Web Engineer with strong expertise in SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 to design, develop, and implement an Employee Resource Hub. The ideal candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to create modern, secure, and user-friendly SharePoint solutions that enhance collaboration, accessibility, and organizational efficiency.


Responsibilities:


  • Design and develop a site map and information architecture for the Employee Resource Hub.



  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into SharePoint technical solutions.



  • Design, develop, and customize SharePoint workflows, sites, pages, and applications to meet business needs.



  • Provide ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance to ensure system reliability and performance.



  • Implement and maintain security configurations to protect sensitive data and comply with State and Federal policies.



  • Manage overall project execution, including timelines, deliverables, and communication.



  • Create technical documentation and user training materials for deployed solutions.



  • Conduct end-user and IT team training to ensure effective adoption of SharePoint features.



  • Ensure all solutions align with corporate governance, branding, and accessibility standards.



  • Implement SharePoint solutions based on approved business and technical requirements.




Required Skills & Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining SharePoint Online Sites.



  • 3+ years of experience administering Microsoft Teams or SharePoint within O365/Microsoft 365.



  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Active Directory.



  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and front-end customization within SharePoint Online.



  • Hands-on experience creating custom workflows, pages, and lists in modern SharePoint.



  • Knowledge of SharePoint permissions, security settings, and compliance standards.



  • Excellent communication and documentation skills; ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders.



  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.




Preferred Skills:


  • Experience with Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps).



  • Familiarity with JavaScript, JSON, and REST APIs for advanced SharePoint customization.



  • Previous experience supporting intranet or employee hub implementations.



  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development practices.




Education:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
