The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Diesel Generator (Genset) Mechanic to support a customer on Maui, Hawai'i. The Diesel Generator (Genset) Mechanic is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of all generator systems supporting the 15th Space Surveillance Squadron (15 SPSS) under the Maui Base Support Services (MBSS) contract. This includes emergency and prime power generators at Building 550 (Kihei), the Remote Maui Experiment (RME) site, and the Maui Space Surveillance Complex (MSSC) atop the Summit of Haleakal. The Generator Mechanic ensures 100% generator reliability through routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and prompt response to unscheduled outages, including after-hours emergency callouts. DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The individual will perform a variety of duties related to the operation and maintenance of diesel power generation engines (diesel genset) and equipment, such as but not limited to:

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Environmental Factors: Works in indoor and outdoor environments that contain excessive heat, cold and humidity, excessive dampness, dust, solvents grease, oils, moving vehicles and slippery or uneven surfaces. Routinely will be working at over 10,000ft elevation. Physical Effort: Frequently lifts parts and equipment weighing up to fifty (50) pounds and occasionally over fifty (50) pounds. Standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, and stretching for prolonged periods will be necessary. DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
