IMEG is growing, and we'd love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking a Senior Innovation Specialistin our Raleigh, NC office. As a Senior Innovation Specialist you will directs strategic innovation efforts across the firm, aligning projects with corporate goals and driving large-scale initiatives. This senior role oversees departmental innovation standards, manages cross-functional projects, and serves as a visible industry expert, representing the company at conferences and public engagements.

Principal Responsibilities:
Set departmental goals for innovation that align with organizational objectives and the company's overall vision

Lead high-impact cross-functional projects, coordinating efforts across departments and client teams to ensure cohesive innovation delivery

Oversee and mentor Innovation Specialists, fostering a supportive mentorship environment

Serve as a visible expert in 3+ innovation specialties, representing the company at industry conferences and events

Develop cross-departmental innovation initiatives with strategic business impact, fostering partnerships within the organization

Track departmental revenue targets, project KPIs, and adoption metrics, reporting these regularly to senior leadership

Establish external partnerships with tech companies, universities, and industry bodies to drive collaboration and innovation

Present thought leadership content at high-profile conferences, promoting the company's reputation and innovation capabilities

Required Skills/Abilities:
Proficient with agile mindset and ability to be adaptive

Strategic thinking and business acumen to ensure alignment of innovation with company goals

Leadership and mentorship abilities, with experience managing multi-level teams

Advanced communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences

Deep expertise in multiple innovation areas or specialties within the industry

Proficiency in setting and monitoring KPIs, revenue targets, and adoption metrics

Skilled in the use of technology associated with a focus on innovation

Ability to work independently and designate project timeline for deliverables.

Proficient in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook

Ability to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays

Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering, Technology, Business, or equivalent required

Master's Degree preferred

Professional Engineer (PE) License, or similar certification, preferred

7 years of experience minimum required, 10 preferred, in a senior innovation or technology role with extensive leadership in large-scale projects required

Possession of a recognized certification related to Innovation or area of specialty (i.e. Agile, Data Scientist, UI Designer, etc.) required

Experience in a senior innovation or technology role with extensive leadership in large-scale projects required

Candidate must have an established network within the industry; experience in conference presentations and published articles preferred

This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Must be able to lift 15 pounds at time
