Job Description

This job description is intended to serve as general guidelines for day to day responsibilities. The Janitor keeps buildings in clean and orderly condition, with particular focus on common areas of use at both sites of the plant. The position is responsible for cleaning buildings, removing debris, and keeping areas neat and tidy. This role helps foster a clean and safe work environment that enhances employee productivity and morale.

SUMMARY

Keeps facility in clean, orderly and safe condition by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming them.
  • Service, clean and supply restrooms.
  • Gather and empty trash.
  • Clean fixtures, mirrors, wipe down walls, doors, door jams, sweep and mop daily.
  • Dust office area and labs such as monitor screens, office partitions, office tables and counters.
  • Perform monthly carpet cleaning of walkways and major areas.
  • Annual or as needed clean all carpeted areas with steam cleaner.
  • Remove snow from walkways and parking lots using a snow shovel, snow blower or hand salt spreader.
  • Order supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Light building maintenance such as painting, construction clean up, etc.
  • All other duties assigned.

  • Physical demands to lift up to 20 lbs frequently and 33 pounds occasionally, constant standing and walking.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma / GED preferred
  • Must have one year work experience

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $20.00 to $28.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
