Job Overview:

The pharmacist is responsible for the provision of pharmaceutical services to all patient care groups, including geriatrics, adult, adolescent, pediatric and neonatal, and maintaining statistical records,

Qualifications:

• Completion of course at an accredited School of Pharmacy, with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD
• Registration in New Jersey as a pharmacist; current New Jersey licensure required,
• Hospital pharmacy experience desirable,
• Familiarity with all phases of hospital pharmacy,
• Working knowledge of health care matters,
• Understanding of role of pharmacy department within the hospital, its interrelationships with other departments and functions,
• Successful completion of all orientations

• Days to work
• FT

Essential Functions:

• The position is responsible for the preparation, dispensing, monitoring of both the prescribing and effectiveness of all medications and IV admixtures,
• The pharmacist will also supervise and direct the activities of all pharmacy technicians to ensure departmental workflow is not negatively affected,
• The registered pharmacist also provides, when needed, clinical services such as patient counseling, education, consults, and medication therapy management,
• The position is also responsible for identifying and reporting hazardous environments or safety issues.
• The position is also responsible for any other assigned tasks, as appropriate,
• The registered pharmacist is also responsible for maintaining a clean, neat, uncluttered work area, to provide prompt and safe service and train, coach and develop new staff,
• The pharmacist should also share a team vision,
